Marty Schubert appointed Executive Director of the Help Fill A Dream Foundation of Canada

The Board of Directors of the Victoria-based Help Fill A Dream Foundation (HFAD) announces that Marty Schubert has been appointed Executive Director.
Mr. Schubert has a background in management, business development and corporate sales on Vancouver Island and the Lower Mainland. In his previous roles at TELUS, he was responsible for corporate accounts headquartered on Vancouver Island, and was active in the community on behalf of TELUS with charities and economic development initiatives. Mr. Schubert returns from early retirement to assist the Help Fill A Dream Foundation's work to increasing corporate awareness and support.
In his new role with the Help Fill A Dream Foundation, Mr. Schubert works with a dedicated Board of Directors to fulfill the dreams of local children with life-threatening illnesses and to provide financial assistance to their families. "The Help Fill A Dream Foundation's focus is on the kids and their families resident on Vancouver Island and the Gulf Islands." said Bob Campbell, President of the HFAD Board of Directors, "With that in mind, we are pleased that Marty Schubert has accepted our invitation to join us as Executive Director. The Help Fill A Dream Foundation assists Vancouver Island and Gulf Island families by fulfilling dreams and providing much needed emergency financial assistance. During the past 21 years the Foundation, with the support and generosity of corporate sponsors and the general public, has fulfilled the dreams of over 1600 critically ill children and helped hundreds of families in crisis.
"Dreams" range from trips to Disneyland, the most popular request, and purchasing computers to help with schoolwork, to provision of medical equipment to aid treatment. The foundation also provides financial aid to families to ease the burden created by reduced incomes, medical expenses, and other drains on family resources.
