Help Fill A Dream Foundation of Canada - Media Advisory - September 12, 2007
Victoria, BC - September 12, 2007
Following recent media reports of the police investigations involving a former employee of the Help Fill a Dream Foundation of Canada, the organization received queries from individuals who were unclear about the status of the Foundation.
The media's assistance is requested in order to assure members of the public, as well as children with life threatening illnesses and their families, that the Victoria-based Help Fill A Dream Foundation (HFAD) continues to serve Vancouver Island and Gulf Island families by fulfilling dreams and providing much needed emergency financial assistance. The foundation assists over 100 families annually and is the only organization of its kind to provide these support services to residents within the area served by the Vancouver Island Health Authority (VIHA). During the past 21 years the Foundation, with the support and generosity of corporate sponsors and the general public, has fulfilled the dreams of over 1600 critically ill children and helped hundreds of families in crisis.
For more information about the work of the Help Fill A Dream Foundation, members of the media are encouraged to contact Bob Campbell, President or the HFAD Board of Directors, at 250-382-3135, or visit www.helpfilladream.com.
Thank you.
