SUMMARY:Seaside Magazine Charity Road Hockey Tournament 2026
DESCRIPTION:Looking for an exciting way to help raise funds for some incredible kids? Look no further.\n10th Annual Seaside Magazine Charity Road Hockey Tournament is a one-day fundraiser which brings together our Dream kids (children with critical medical conditions) and their families with the local community to participate in the quintessential Canadian pass time – road hockey! This year we’re featuring mens’\, womens’ and kids’ tournaments. \nOur tournament is a fun and competitive event that brings together teams from all over to compete in a friendly game of road hockey. Not only is it a great way to get some exercise and enjoy the beautiful outdoors\, but it’s also an opportunity to give back to our community. \nFaster play\nThe playing surfaces are smaller so the action will be fast and furious. With the smaller space\, there will be constant action as you zigzag back and forth\, trying to get past your opponents to score. You’ll need to be nimble and quick to make the perfect shot. \nTeam Registration\nTeams can consist of up to 6 people including the goalie. Teams must have a min. of 3 people. Teams must have a goalie. Teams are responsible for supplying their own equipment. \n\nMen’s Team (Only 8 team spots available): $300\nWomen’s Team (Only 4 team spots available): $300\nKid’s Team (Only 6 team spots available): $0\nVIP Upgrade (limiting availability\, Adult teams Only): +$200\n\nRegister Now\nFamily friendly location\nOnce again\, this year we will be at Iroquois Park which will provide lots of great green space for teams to spread out. Bring the whole family to enjoy the TD Family Fun Zone and the other features of Iroquois Park such as the playground and splash pad. \nTD Family Fun Zone\nThis year’s super-sized fun zone is a free mini carnival with food trucks! Our fun zone is always a major hit including: superheroes\, princesses\, mascots\, hands-on exhibits\, fire trucks\, a dunk tank\, bouncy castles and a “by donation” BBQ. Fun for all ages! In previous years\, we had featured car racing simulators\, giant games\, and engaging booths from McTavish Academy of Art and the Sidney Museum\, along with a photo booth. Stay tuned for the full line-up of fun! \nDreams can come true\nThanks to the generosity of everyone involved\, our 2025 event raised an incredible $13\,300 to help make Dreams come true for children on Vancouver Island with critical medical conditions. DESCRIPTION:Help Fill A Dream is excited to bring back this fundraising event for its second year\, in honour of an extraordinary man. Ron Linnes’ generosity will have a lasting impact\, helping hundreds of children with life-threatening or critical medical conditions across Vancouver Island and the Gulf Islands.
