We first met Poppy in July of 2017 when we provided travel and accommodation assistance to her family during their long treatment protocol for her Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia. The family travelled back and forth from Duncan to BC Children’s on a regular basis, along with prolonged stays at Ronald McDonald House. Poppy, now age 14, is a soccer player and huge fan. Poppy’s Dream of attending the FIFA Women’s World Cup in France came true in July 2019. Poppy, her parents, and five sisters travelled to Lyon, France where they watched the semi-final and final games of this incredible event. They also enjoyed the beautiful city and French countryside during their trip.
