Once again Help Fill A Dream was so proud to be the charity recipient on this incredible day of giving on Vancouver Island!
For every litre of fuel sold at participating Peninsula Co-op locations on September 21st, Peninsula Co-op made a donation of 5 cents to make Dreams come true for Vancouver Island children with life-threatening/critical conditions. This year we received a donation of $19,891. Thank you to Peninsula Co-op for all their support and promotion of this wonderful fundraiser. As well as the big financial donation the day provided us with a chance to share our message far and wide!
Several of our Help Fill A Dream families came out to wave signs, show support and share their stories – thank you to everyone who participated.
The biggest thanks goes to the drivers – we enjoyed seeing some “unusual” vehicles, and picking up a few cash donations throughout the day too. Customers were incentivized not just by filling Dreams by filling their tanks, but also with the opportunity to be entered into a prize draw for a Staycation prize package. A big congratulations to S. McDonald, who entered at the Wilkinson Gas Centre and won! And thank you to the Prestige Hotel in Sooke for supporting us again this year!
